Why “What’s Your Learning Style?” Misses the Mark
For years, students have been told they’re a “visual learner,” an “auditory learner,” or some other label. They take the quiz, get the result, and… nothing really changes about how they study.
That’s because the learning styles theory has been debunked — there’s no strong evidence that teaching or studying to a single “style” makes learning stick.
The bigger problem? Nothing equally catchy or memorable has replaced it.
So teachers, parents, and coaches are left with a tool that sounds motivating but doesn’t actually move the learning needle as much as we hope.
A Better, Brain-Friendly Alternative

Perfect for academic coaches, tutors, EF/ADHD and learning specialists, and classroom teachers. Parents are also welcome! Relevant for middle school to college.
Now’s the perfect time to help students course-correct before old habits set in.
And yes—replays are available if you can't come live.

Perfect for academic coaches, tutors, EF/ADHD and learning specialists, and classroom teachers. Parents are also welcome! Relevant for middle school to college, and all ages in between.

1. What if I can’t attend live on the day of the masterclass?
No problem at all! A full replay of the 3-hour masterclass will be sent to all registrants, along with a replays of the follow-up Community Call. You’ll still get tons of value if you treat it as a self-paced training.
2. Will this be relevant for classroom teachers?
Yes! Especially if you're a teacher who wants to be more “coach-like” in your approach. While many tools come from 1:1 academic coaching, we’ll specifically explore how to adapt them for classroom use—and there’s a dedicated section in the handout just for teachers.
3. What’s included in the $197 price?
Your registration includes the live masterclass, a follow-up community call for questions, all session replays, a printable worksheet, and, if desired, a certificate for 5 hours of professional development.
4. Is this appropriate for new or aspiring academic coaches?
Definitely. Whether you’re just getting started or already supporting students 1:1, this training will deepen your toolkit and show you how to apply brain science in real-world ways during high-stress academic moments.
5. Will the tools support neurodivergent learners?
Yes. All strategies are designed to be flexible and brain-based—meaning they’re especially helpful for students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or executive function challenges. But they work great for neurotypical students, too!
6. Can I register a group or bring my team?
Yes! We offer a 20% discount for teams of 4 or more. Just email us at officewiz@antiboringlearninglab.com, and we’ll get you set up with group pricing and registration support.
7. I’m already a member of the Anti-Boring Learning Lab. Do I need to pay?
Nope! This masterclass is included in your membership. Check the Learning Lab dashboard for how to join live or access replays.
8. I work with college students. Is this still relevant?
Absolutely! In fact, college students may need this even more than students in more formally structured school and home environments. This masterclass will help you build systems and tools to support organization productivity skills throughout their college career and beyond.
9. Do you offer official CEUs for teachers or the International Coaching Federation?
Not at this time. As a small company, it’s a bit too complex for us to register with every state and organization. However, you will receive a certificate of completion for 5 professional development hours. Many educators are able to submit this to their schools or use it for continuing ed credit. You can also post it to LinkedIn to celebrate your accomplishment—we’ll cheer you on!
10. Is this geared more toward new or experienced educators?
Both! Whether you’re just starting out as a tutor or academic coach, or you’ve been in the classroom for years, this masterclass offers a mix of practical tools, updated research, and reflective prompts to deepen your work. Newbies get a roadmap. Veterans get fresh inspiration.
11. Will this help with students who are resistant to using planners and want to rely on using school portals?
Yes. The strategies in this masterclass are designed to meet students where they are and help them see the full picture of the support they need-so you minimize resistance, reduce overwhelm, and build momentum gently and effectively.
12. Do I need to have a background in neuroscience or executive function to benefit from this?
Not at all. We’ll break the science down into easy-to-understand frameworks and provide language you can use directly with students. No jargon, just useful tools.
13. Do you offer refunds?
Because this is a digital professional development experience with immediate access to materials and replays, we don’t offer refunds. That said, we’re confident you’ll find the content valuable, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions before purchasing. Thanks for understanding—it helps us keep our small business sustainable.
